Throughout her career, Dr. Scott has provided clinical supervision, training, and mentoring of multidisciplinary practitioners to include psychiatric residents and fellows of UT Southwestern Medical School, psychologists, family therapists, counselors, nurse practitioners, and physician’s assistants. She has been recognized as adjunct faculty at UT Southwestern Medical School and has taught in the psychiatric nurse practitioner program at the University of Texas at Arlington as a Clinical Assistant Professor, College of Nursing and Health Innovation. In addition, Dr. Scott has been fortunate to publish clinical research on the importance of Family Presence in the Emergency Room, attitudes about mental illness, and the importance of the father-daughter relationship in the treatment of adolescent girls with eating disorders to highlight a few.
